Two people have drowned just 15 minutes apart on the beach in Oliva. Another has died dragged by the water in Mareny de Barraquetes. And two other men have lost their lives between Saturday and Sunday on the beaches of Valencia
The good weather has meant that many people have come this Sunday to the beaches of the Valencian Community. We are in the final stretch of the summer and we come from a weekend, the past, marked by the cold drop. The day, which was presumed festive, has been mourned with four deceased on different beaches in the province of Valencia.
Two people died this afternoon drowning on the beach in Oliva . It is a 62-year-old man and a 65-year-old woman. Both with symptoms of drowning and with only 15 minutes of difference. The emergency services have been unable to do anything in both cases. Yes, they have rescued another 83-year-old bather who was drowning on the beach in Oliva early in the morning.
In addition, also this Sunday in Mareny de Barraquetes , Red Cross rescue personnel have been unable to do anything to save the life of a man who had been dragged by the water.
Also two deceased drowned in the city of Valencia . Late on Saturday night, a notice entered the CICU indicating the presence of a 55-year-old man, a Dutch national, with symptoms of drowning on Cabañal-Las Arenas beach. A SAMU unit was mobilized to the site but there was no response, the man died. This Sunday morning another 58-year-old man has also drowned on the Malvarrosa beach in Valencia.
Five deceased who join the sad national drowning ranking led by the Valencian Community so far this year. At the end of August, a total of 47 people had lost their lives drowned in aquatic areas of the Valencian Community so far this year , according to data from the National Drowning Report of the Royal Spanish Salvage and Rescue Federation.
